If you're looking for a unique winter adventure, you can now stay in an igloo hotel in Sethan Valley, Himachal Pradesh.

The Igloo Village Sethan was set up in 2019 by locals Vinod and Suresh Bodh, who build about five igloos every year after enough snow has collected in the village. The igloo village is typically operational from mid-December till the end of February or the first week of March, depending on the weather in Himachal Pradesh.

Each igloo is 9ft in diameter and about 5ft in height to stay for a couple or three guests on request. Inside the igloo, there is a foam mattress with sheets of wool and electric blankets to keep you extra warm.
There are lights inside, as well as electrical sockets to charge your devices. However, there ae no attached bathrooms instead there is a common bathroom outside which you can use. The menu at Sethan Igloo Village includes vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, including dishes like dal, rice, roti, bread, omelette, Maggi, French fries, chicken or paneer curries, and vegetables, of course.
To stay warm, it is recommended to wear thermal innerwear with all your clothes, carry warm-down jackets, good snow boots, and gloves. The team offers snow shoes and snowsuits as and when needed.
