Eating out is the favourite option for consumers at quick-service restaurant chains and has become the most common among urban Indians. According to a recent survey conducted by YouGov India, 93% of urban Indians consider food quality while ordering food from fast-food chains. However, QSR brands customers trust in terms of food quality.

The recent controversy surrounding McDonald's potentially using 'fake cheese' in its menus has highlighted the functioning of quick-service restaurants (QSR) and companies. Though McDonald's eventually got a clean chit from the food regulator, the incident brought to the forefront the omnipresence of fast food in general.

When asked which of the following brands they trust with their food quality, around 46% and 43% of respondents voted for Domino’s and McDonald’s, respectively. Other brands that got a considerable percentage of votes include KFC, Haldiram, Pizza Hut, Burger King, Starbucks, Subway, and Cafe Coffee Day. Consumers believe in quality if they prefer to eat outside.
