Is Eurostar Offering More Flexible Ticket Options for Travelers?

Eurostar, the high-speed railway service connecting London with several destinations in Europe has announced new rules that make travel between the UK and the continent more flexible than ever before. The company has introduced a set of flexible fares for all travel classes, making it easier for passengers to change their travel plans according to their busy and demanding schedules.

From November 2024, Eurostar's travel classes will be renamed to Eurostar Standard, Eurostar Plus, and Eurostar Premier, and each class will come with its own set of benefits.

  • Eurostar Standard is the most economical way to travel, with light bites and drinks available for purchase on board.

  • Eurostar Plus passengers can enjoy more comfortable seating, more workspace, and a meal.

  • Eurostar Premier offers elevated food service, access to lounges, and the use of a dedicated priority lane on cross-channel routes.

The new rules apply to tickets booked after Tuesday 23 April 2024, and bookings made before this date are subject to the terms and conditions stated at the time of booking.

Eurostar Standard and Eurostar Plus passengers can exchange their tickets without a fee as many times as required until just one hour before departure. Unused tickets can be refunded up to seven days before departure, while customers in Eurostar Premier can exchange their tickets in the same way, and fee-free refunds are available up to two days after the scheduled departure.

Eurostar's new aftersales policy provides customers with more flexibility and choice than ever before, allowing them to enjoy a unique travel experience for their summer holiday or autumn break.

Eurostar has also launched a new-look website and app in autumn 2023, alongside Club Eurostar, a rewards programme that allows passengers to earn points to discount journeys, upgrade seats, and more.
